  • Two men have died in separate incidents along the coast.A 70-year-old kayaker drowned
    in Bittangabee Bay in Ben Boyd National Park, 43km south
    of Eden, on Sunday.Police believe the man was trying to board a runabout, but
    fell into the water and drowned. He was pulled from the water by witnesses who desperately
    tried to save his life, but he died at the scene.
    One of the men, a 59-year-old swimmer, was found by surfers at Suffolk Park Beach (pictured)

    At Suffolk Park Beach, south of Byron Bay, surfers found another man –
    a 59-year-old swimmer – floating on the water.They tried to resuscitate the man but
    he also died at the scene.
