Executive Coaching

Coaching is now recognised as one of the most effective professional development tools as individuals strive to realise their own potential and help meet demanding business objectives.

In today’s time-pressured environment, where business executives face competing operational demands and deadlines on a daily basis in a hectic schedule involving the completion of personal development plans, entering new roles or launching new projects with diverse teams, we recognise the importance of being able to step away, reflect and grow which in turn also benefits the organisation.

With a significant ROI for both executive and organisation, clients are able to gain a greater sense of clarity on areas in which they feel challenged by legitimately dedicating time to themselves away from the constant career and personal pressures.

In a programme of interaction with a qualified coach as an accountability partner, the client can focus on what really matters to them without any sense of obligation to follow an agenda set by that person or fear of facing judgement from people with whom they routinely interact. Although on occasion the ultimate goal can be set by the sponsoring organisation, it remains the individual’s personal journey to achieve it through their own growth and development. Coaching is nothing a friend, colleague or family member can provide as they all come with their own agenda, overt or implicit.

Our coaches never judge, simply providing an outlet for executives to move to an oasis of calm away from their daily routine to gain a deeper sense of understanding of themselves, their values and skills and how those factors can combine to maximum effect both in the workplace and other areas of life.

You know that in your rigid schedule, everybody feels they have a right to a part of you, and they need it immediately. You feel torn between priorities and commitments, attempting at all times to be your best self in any given situation but frequently failing as you lose sight of what really matters.

Our coaches understand the tipping points in achieving an appropriate work-life balance and assist clients to identify and acknowledge these issues as they take a holistic approach to working with the individual rather than focusing solely on an area of concern at work.

We are aware that it is rarely the presenting issue which is at the root of an individual’s desire to change and we implement a broad range of strategies to help identify other significant factors to assist in personal (and therefore professional) development.

The methodology we employ is one of assessment and needs awareness which we secure through a 360 degree discussion with the client, line manager and potentially direct reports to comprehend the context in which the individual is operating, identify core values, skills to enhance and key areas for development. Timescales and milestones are also set.

This is followed by the drawing up of a plan of action with the client after an honest discussion based on trust around his/her perspective of the situation, behaviours and underlying issues helps establish rapport and identifies realistic, specific and impactive goals.

Once the roadmap is clarified, our programme moves into the implementation phase with the client exhibiting the new behaviours deemed necessary for maximum benefit to function as his or her highest self.

Finally, we commit to providing an objective evaluation at the completion of the programme which once again involves the client, line manager and perhaps colleagues to assess the individual’s development as a result of the coaching process.

Our team have worked extensively with business executives from some of the world’s most influential companies and private individuals from various backgrounds and cultures. We have vast experience coaching and mentoring staff from all levels within organisations, from senior directors to entrepreneurs and new entrants, and have operated in a diverse range of leading global companies as well as SMEs within Europe, Middle East, India and USA transforming individuals and teams and helping businesses meet their objectives.

Meeting over lunch in a country hotel, a senior corporate executive summed up what coaching meant for her:

“This is my oasis in the corporate world where I can just take two hours out to be me. Nobody judges me, nobody brings their agenda, nobody tries to influence people with the information I share. It’s where I can get up after two hours with renewed clarity and direction. I just love it.”
